The Business Plus ICT program, facilitated by 20 community leaders serving in 7 districts of Uganda, has been making a significant impact on the lives of young entrepreneurs and women in the region. Over the past three months, the program has equipped and supported 411 entrepreneurs with the relevant skills, knowledge, and tools to enable them to grow and standardize their businesses.
The program's focus on combining business skills with information and communication technology (ICT) has proven to be a winning combination for entrepreneurs who need to stay competitive in today's digital economy.
Through the program, participants receive training in a variety of areas, including marketing, financial management, and ICT. They also receive ongoing support and mentorship, which is crucial in helping them navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship. This support includes access to business coaches, networking opportunities, and other resources that are essential for success.
One of the most significant benefits of the Business Plus ICT program is the focus on empowering women entrepreneurs. Women make up 81% of the program's participants, and the program has been successful in helping them overcome the many barriers they face in starting and growing a business. By providing access to training and resources, the program has enabled women to become more economically independent and to provide for their families.
Another critical aspect of the program is its focus on serving rural communities. Many of the participants in the program come from rural areas where access to training and resources is limited. By bringing the program to these communities, the facilitators are helping to level the playing field and give young entrepreneurs a fighting chance.
The impact of the Business Plus ICT program is evident in the success stories of its participants. Entrepreneurs who have gone through the program have been able to grow their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to the economic development of their communities. This success has not only benefited the entrepreneurs themselves but also their families, employees, and the broader community.

Community Leaders Program
|
|
|
The completion of an 8-month placement of service by 20 community leaders across 7 districts of Uganda is a significant achievement that deserves recognition and celebration. These community leaders have made an incredible impact on the lives of 2,111 young entrepreneurs and women in their respective communities.
Through their commitment and dedication to the cause, these leaders have equipped and supported entrepreneurs with relevant skills, knowledge, and tools to enable them to grow and standardize their businesses. They have been instrumental in helping these entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business, especially during these challenging times.
Their impact is especially remarkable given the fact that many of the entrepreneurs they served come from rural areas, where access to resources and training is limited. Through their placement of service, these community leaders have brought hope and empowerment to communities that are often overlooked.
Their focus on combining business skills with information and communication technology (ICT) has been especially valuable in today's digital economy. Entrepreneurs who have gone through the program have been able to compete on a more level playing field, leveraging ICT tools to grow their businesses and reach new markets.
The community leaders' efforts have also been vital in empowering women entrepreneurs, who make up 81% of the program's participants. By providing access to training and resources, the community leaders have helped to break down the barriers that often prevent women from starting and growing a business. This empowerment has not only benefited the women themselves but also their families and communities.
Through their dedication and commitment, these community leaders have equipped and supported over 2,000 entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and tools they need to succeed. Their impact has been significant, empowering women, creating jobs, and contributing to the economic development of their communities. We applaud these community leaders for their service and look forward to seeing the continued impact of their work.
