Our first-ever SCL NY Song Placement Workshop will feature the original work of twelve
New York songwriters, with advice and feedback from music supervisors Mark Frieser and Wellington Lora. All SCL Members are invited to attend this exciting event, which will provide insight into the world of song placement in films and television. The evening will be moderated by SCL Steering Committee members and composer/songwriters Elizabeth Rose and Mark Roos.
As the Founder and CEO of the SyncSummit event series, Mr. Frieser brings together thousands of people annually to share ideas, knowledge, and to make deals between buyers and sellers in the music for visual, interactive and branded media market.
As the Founder and CEO of the music licensing agency, Sync Exchange, Mr. Frieser works closely with the world’s largest music labels, publishers, artists and management companies to sell their music for usage in television, film, video games, advertising, Internet video and mobile projects, content and applications.
Wellington Lora, Jr. CEO & Founder at The Cueniverse Music - Wellington Lora Jr. is a professional television and movie composer with 10 years of experience composing professionally. He has composed music for over 1200 episodes of television. Wellington is the founder and CEO of The Cueniverse music library and custom music company, and has produced music for shows like Jersey Shore, Keeping up with The Kardashians, Mtv Cribs, Mtv Catfish, Mtv True Life, My Super Sweet Sixteen, 16 and Pregnant, Bad Girls Club, Real World, Basketball Wives, American Pickers, SNL, Dateline, Mtv Diary, E! News Live, Mtv Made to name a few. He has produced radio records for Pitbull, Nina Sky, Swizz Beats, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Red Cafe,Tony Touch, Nore, Joel Ortiz, Maino, Papoose, Cassidy & Juganot. More recently Wellington produced 3 records for Thailands biggest group Thaitanium. He is the composer for the CollegeHumor.com hit Parody "Mitt Romney Style" that has received over 28 million YouTube views. He is a firm believer that you should be paid for what you love to do and practices that everyday.
Elizabeth Rose Elizabeth Rose's songs have appeared in film, tv and theatre. Relative Pitch, her one-woman musical comedy was produced Off Broadway by the Cherry Lane Theatre's Mentor Project. Her music videos have been honored in the US and Ireland. Yo Miz!, her first book, garnered three awards in 2016. Fav gig: singing the national anthem at a METS game. Rose serves on the SCL Board of Directors and the NYSCL Steering Committee.
Mark Roos lives to connect the viewing audience with the message that is being conveyed on the screen in the most powerful way known to man- through music. His mediums of specialty include computer games, full-feature and documentary films, television programs, radio and custom music production. He successfully delivers high quality scores for such companies as Microsoft Xbox, Discovery Channel, Delta Airlines, Honda, U.S. Air Force, United Way, MSNBC, Eastman-Kodak, 3Com and many others.
