Seminar:  TPP and Latin-American integration
Within the framework of the seminar, experts of the region will lecture on the importance of the negotiations of the TPP for Latin America.  

It will take place on 30 October, at 9:30 a.m., at the ALADI Headquarters, Sala Cisneros.
The agenda will be presented within the next days.

Investments seminar of the Estado de México
On 19 September, the “Investments Seminar of the Estado de México” was held in Espacio Mexicano of the Embassy of Mexico in Japan; representatives of about 25 Japanese companies attended. It was organized by ProMéxico, sponsored by this Embassy. (News in Spanish).
 
ARTNeT Conference Organized Session 3: Protectionism and BRICS economies (Latin America - Asia Pacific Observatory from ALADI, CAF and ECLAC)
This event is part of the Asia-Pacific Trade Economists' Conference: "Trade in the Asian century - delivering on the promise of economic prosperity" on 23rd September 2014. This session is focusing on protectionism and the BRICS economies.

Japan and Chile widen trade agreement including agricultural products
After seven years of validity of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between Chile and Japan, both countries agreed, in Tokio, to initiate a deepening process, where the negotiation of goods currently excluded from the negotiation is included. (News in Spanish).

Taiwan and El Salvador announce the signature of a cooperation agreement
The Taiwanese Prime Minister, Jiang Yi-huah, announced, in an interview with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Hugo Roger Martínez, the intention to sign a bilateral cooperation agreement with El Salvador. (News in Spanish).

5th ROK-Mexico High-level Policy Consultation Takes Place
First Vice Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yong, who visited Mexico on September 16-17, held the 5th ROK-Mexico high-level policy consultation with Mexican Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Carlos Alberto de Icaza on September 17. The two sides discussed ways to enhance mutually-beneficial and substantive cooperation between the two countries in a range of areas.

Today, the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam makes a new commitment towards the implementation of Brunei BioInnovation Corridor (BIC) by partnering with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China and Chile.
 
The Undersecretary of Foreign trade of the Secretariat of Economy completes his work visit to China
With the representation of the Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, THE Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Francisco de Rosenzweig, made a working tour to the cities of Tianjin and Beijing, in China, where he attended the Eight Annual Meeting of New Champions 2014 of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Sixth Investment Forum China -Latin America, where he held meetings with representatives of the Chinese government and entrepreneurs from the textile industry of Mexico and China.
 

Additional Protocol of the Pacific Alliance and FTA with Korea in Congress
The Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism, Cecilia Álvarez-Correa, and the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the functions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Patti Londoño, presented, at the General Secretariat of the Senate of the Republic, the Draft Trade Protocol of the Pacific Alliance and the Trade Agreement with Korea.  (News in Spanish).
 
Ambassador Frei announces creation of “New Agenda" with China
The Extraordinary Ambassador and Plenipotentiary of Asia Pacific, Eduardo Frei, put forward the procedures at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to conclude the document that will state the main guidelines of the relation between Chile and the Asian giant for the next five years and that should be signed in the Next Forum of Asia-Pacific Forum (APEC), to be held in November, in Beijing. The Secretary of Economy heads the commercial mission to China
Within the framework of the bilateral rapprochement between Mexico and China, and for the second time this year, the Secretary of Economy, Fernando Canales Clariond, will go on a working tour to the cities of Xiamen and Shangai, from 7 to 11 September, heading the Mexican Business Mission at the Eight International Fair for Trade and Investment in China.
