Seminar: “Latin American regional integration at a crossroads?: The Pacific Alliance and the Mercosur”
The Coordinator of the Latin America – Asia Pacific Observatory, Dr. Ignacio Bartesaghi, will participate, as a lecturer, in the Seminar: “Latin American regional integration at a crossroads?: The Pacific Alliance and the Mercosur”, which is co – organized by the Latin American and the Caribbean Studies (ILAC) and the Japan Association of Latin America and the Caribbean (JALAC).
 

Second Academic Seminar of the Latin America - Asia Pacific Observatory
The Latin America – Asia Pacific Observatory calls for papers for the second academic seminar “Exploring spaces for the productive integration between Latin America and  Asia Pacific”, to be held on 8 and 9 July 2015, at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), in Santiago de Chile.

Video: Seminar: the TPP and the Latin-American integration
Within the framework of the seminar, experts of the region lectured on the importance of the negotiations of the TPP for Latin America. It was held on 30 October at the Headquarters at the ALADI.

Trade costs and exportation: A comparison between enterprises in Southeast Asia and Latin America
Dr. Yasushi Ueki publishes such paper, where he researches the impact of trade costs, mainly in exports, of the main companies of the Asian southeast and Latin America.

Observatorio de la Política China. Informe Anual 2015
This ninth edition of the Annual Report about Chinese Politics analyzes the essential characteristics of the evolution of the Asian giant in 2014, a year full of great difficulties and great projects, in which the efforts of the leadership of the PCCh and the country focused on explaining its program and removing barriers slowing down the “integral reform”.

Taiwan 2015. 10 keys and ten characters of 2014
Year 2014 has not been a regular one for Taiwan. Such publication of the Observatory of Chinese Politics highlights some keys and characters leading the exercise, which will certainly influence the course of events in 2015.

Indonesia offers scholarships of language, information technology, art, and culture for Panamanians
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites interested people to participate in the program of Scholarships Darmasiswa Ri, offered by the Government of Indonesia in 53 superior education institutions in several cities of such country.

“ADBI-IDB 2015 Latin America/Caribbean and Asia/Pacific Economics and Business Association (LAEBA) Seminar on SME Internationalization”
The purpose of the event is to exchange ideas and explore collaboration manners in this priority ADB/ADBI, apart from the paper of the micro and small business and the inclusive development in Asia.

Sinologist Augusto Soto: "The investment announced in the  Forum China-CELAC has a historical dimension"
The First Forum China-CELAC left several issues to be analyzed, such as the confirmation of investments of millions of the Asian giant in Latin America and the creation - as assured by the parties- of a new state in the relations focused on the economic and political bonds, Augusto Soto, Director of Dialogue with China Project comments about these repercussions.

David Harmon, Vicepresidente de Huawei: “Technological innovation in Chile must be linked to Asia”
Vice-President of Huawei Technologies Company, David Harmon, was one of the lecturers in the session “Understanding the coming world” of the Fifth Future Congress held on 16 January 2015. The Expert referred to the development of advanced technologies in Asia, the direction the technological industries could take and the way Chile may introduce innovation global efforts.

Latin America & India: Understanding Mutual Opportunities
The Expert Deepak Bhojwani gave a lecture in “SP Jain Institute of Management” in Mumbai, India, where he developed the opportunities that may arise between India and Latin America.
 
40 years of ALADAA: identity, relevance and impact  of the studies of Asia and Africa in Latin America
Within the celebration of the 40 years of the partnership, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the Fifteenth International Congress ALADAA. 
The latter will be held on 11 - 14 January 2016; its venue will be the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Campus Errázuriz), in Santiago de Chile.


First Meeting CHEMEXCIL India-Argentina of the chemical and cosmetics industry
More than 40 Indian companies, leaders of basic chemical products and cosmetics, will participate in the First Meeting CHEMEXCIL India-Argentina of the chemical and cosmetics industry. It will be held on 24 and 25 February, from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center, in San Martin 1225/1275, Buenos Aires.

The Korea Overseas Investment Fair 2015(KOIF 2015)
The fair “KOREA OVERSEAS INVESTMENT FAIR 2015” will take place on 24 and 25 June of this year in KINTEX, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. Companies and Korean institutions will search investment sectors in Uruguay.

Costa Rica and China promote a Special Economic Zone
It is a strategic objective related to the National Plan of Development, with the boost of the territories through productive platforms that generate good-quality employment and value chains that include local producers. 
The administration Solís Rivera promotes an economic and social development model that is replicable in peripheral territories of the country. 


Native land of Bolívar fosters economic and energy alliances with the Asian giant
Upon his arrival in Beijing, the Head of State of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, had a meeting with representatives of Banks of the People's Republic of China and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in order to foster the economic and strategic alliances that allow to increase the projects.
 
 Xi Jinping Holds Talks with President Rafael Correa of Ecuador, Jointly Deciding to Establish China-Ecuador Strategic Partnership
President Xi Jinping had a meeting with President Rafael Correa of Ecuador in Gran Palacio del Pueblo. The two Heads of State decided to establish, between China and Ecuador, a strategic partnership.


The first meeting of the Forum CELAC-China was held in Beijing
The first Meeting of Senior Officials of the Forum CELAC-China was held on 7 January in Beijing; the National Coordinators of the Forum negotiated the political declaration, the cooperation plan and the document general dispositions and operation rules, to be approved by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the countries of the CELAC and China, in the plenary sessions of 8 and 9 of this month.

Seconf forum of CELAC-China will be held in Chile in January 2018
Chancellor Heraldo Muñoz announced that Chile will host the second meeting of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of CELAC-China, in 2018.

China, Costa Rica announce strategic partnership
The President of China, Xi Jinping, had a meeting with the President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís, in order to speak about the strategic partnership between both countries.

China, CELAC deepens cooperation with major documents
China and the Community of Latin-American and Caribbean States (CELAC) agreed on the three main documents in the last day of the first meeting of the ministerial forum between China and the CELAC.

Li Keqiang emphasizes on the peace-keeping and regional and world stability, promotion of the Chinese-Latin-American cooperation in the First Ministerial  Meeting of the Forum China-CELAC
On 9 January 2015, the Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang had a collective meeting in the Gran Palacio del Pueblo with the heads of the delegation of the Community of Latin-American and Caribbean States (CELAC) that arrived at China in order to attend the First Ministerial Meeting of the Forum China-CELAC.

Casamiquela had a meeting with a delegation of China in order to cooperate in research and development
The Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Casamiquela, received, on 21 January, a delegation of the Province of Xinjiang, and exchanges views about the family agriculture of both countries. He also reiterated the support of Argentina for the development of the small and medium farmers of the Asian country.

Uruguay and Japan strengthen bonds for the promotion and protection of investments
Uruguay and Japan signed, on Monday, 26 January, an Agreement for the Liberalization, Promotion and Protection of Investments. The Agreement was signed by the Ad Interim Minister, Luis Porto, and, by the Ambassador of Japan, Keiko Tanaka, and will reinforce the favorable conditions for increasing the investments of both countries.
