Can you offer an apprenticeship in your workplace?

Hoople is currently receiving applications from this year's school and college leavers for its childcare apprenticeship programme, starting in September, and we're on the hunt for employers to offer them a work placement.

Can you help by offering employment within your nursery or pre-school setting?

As you know, apprenticeships are work-based training programmes where learners can develop valuable skills and knowledge 'on the job', whilst earning a wage. They're a great way for employers to develop the skills they need and help them to plan for their future staffing requirements.

Your commitment will be: 

  • To employ the apprentice for at least 30 hours per week for a minimum of one year
  • To pay them the National Minimum Wage for Apprentices, currently set by Government at £3.30 per hour
  • To release them to undertake the classroom element of their apprenticeship, which usually equates to two days per month at the Hoople Training Centre in Hereford

Apprenticeships aren't just for school leavers!

You may already have valued members of staff who have their Level 2 qualification and are interested in progressing to Level 3*
Or there may be staff within your nursery or pre-school setting who have no formal qualifications but are valued members of the team
Either way, Hoople can work with you to deliver Level 2 and Level 3* childcare qualifications for your existing employees

(*Please note that for the level 3 qualification, staff must have minimum
grade C GCSE qualifications in both English and maths)
