Frank Philipps Pottery

Beautiful handmade stoneware

Hello! I’ve stocked our online store with almost 100 items with more to follow, and I hope my pottery can be part of your winter holiday celebrations.

I have plenty of pottery to maintain my website for quite a while, but I am about to turn 79 and am starting to think about retiring. It has been my pleasure and delight to have been making things from clay for almost half a century! I thank you deeply for your interest and support through these many years – you have made it possible for a pottery artist to make a modern-day living! It has been a good run for us and worth every second. Thank you again.

I recommend shopping especially early this year, because of the nationwide shipping slow-downs. If you’d like something under the tree by Christmas Eve, it would be best to order by December 1 to be sure you receive it.

Happy holidays!

Pottery Legacy

Frank has been making pottery by hand since 1978. Over 40 years of expertise goes into each and every piece. His primary teacher, Marguerite Wildenhain, taught a generation of students in her northern California studio at Pond Farm Pottery after she left the Bauhaus and escaped the encroaching Nazis in Europe. When you hold pottery by Frank, you’re holding a legacy of artisans in your hands.
