Burlesque star Chicava HoneyChild, showgirl, scholar, black burlesque historian and president of Brown Girls Burlesque, is on board to be featured in the feature film, JIG SHOW | Leon Claxton's Harlem in Havana. Offering her expert opinion in the film, Chicava is the Creative Producer and Proprietress of New York City’s Brown Girls Burlesque and lead teacher of The Broad Squad Institute.  Chicava Honeychild is currently working on a documentary herself on the legacy of Women of Color in burlesque heritage. Jig Show Screening at Cascadia 
Festival in Vancouver, BC

Hitting international audiences before its even complete, the 22+ work-in-progress video of JIG SHOW | Leon Claxton's Harlem in Havana will be screened at the Cascadia Dance and Cinema Festival in Vancouver, BC, August 26, 2016.  The Festival grew out of a desire to connect those involved & interested in the arts & industries of Dance & Cinema. The Festival is focused on celebrating & sharing a high calibre & diverse range of programming. Featured at the Cucalorus Film Festival in Wilmington, NC last fall, the work-in-progress video allows audiences to get a sneak peak of the JIG SHOW film and submit their feedback directly to the filmmaker.
