Today, Feburary 12, 2015, marks exactly 1 YEAR since we launched The Mawanda Project website! What better way to celebrate this milestone and all the support we've received than to have exceeded our goal of $1,500 for 15 kids to attend school for the first time. Be sure to read next month's newsletter to see pictures and hear from the children that YOU helped provide an education for!

Pastor Dan and his team have been working hard to start and sustain Mawanda Daniel (MD) Standard School along the Iganga-Jinja highway to provide a local source of education. Six trained teachers, one cook, and one matron have volunteered to teach and care for the children. This school will begin as a Nursery to Primary 3 school and will be divided into 6 classes. There will be 1 baby class, 1 middle class, 1 top class and Primary 1, 2, & 3. Thanks to our donations and the maize we harvested this past year, the students will have food to eat. What a difference we can make from across the globe!
