We wrote a new book on crisis management
Inviting 250 people and 11 keynote speakers is a perfect way to launch a book.

In October we organized our own conference in close collaboration with the biggest healthcare platform of Belgium: Zorgnet-Icuro. We received over 250 attendees from numerous healthcare organizations. Together with 11 crisis experts we shared knowledge, insights and stories.

In the build-up to the conference Dr. Hugo Marynissen and Stijn Pieters wrote a book about crisis management. It was proudly presented at the end of the event. The book Crisisbeheer in kleine en grote zorgorganisaties - de gouden driehoek van operaties, beleid en communicatie is available here and in major  book stores (Dutch only).

Article for Business Continuity Institute

At the BCI World 2017 Conference in London, PM team members Stijn & Tim held an exciting duo presentation. Various new insights were covered, such as establishing solid crisis management strategies based on useful informal conversation and sentiments.

Don't miss the magazine article we wrote about this topic. We got permission from Continuity & Resilience Magazine to share the full article with our readers!
PM activation for a high impact cyber crisis
We flew in Dr. Timothy Summers from Washington D.C. to work on this case.

"What exactly does a crisis manager do!?" is a frequently asked question at intake meetings and social events. People tend to think we just sit around all day waiting for a red crisis phone to ring. False! We spend most of our time already working with organizations before the crisis. After all, crisis preparedness is not going to improve by itself. Crisis teams should be ready for action for those moments when the rubber meets the road.

Often, these preparation efforts prove to be invaluable when organizations find themselves in need, facing a real crisis situation. In October, one of our good contacts was impacted by a large cyber crisis. In that month, Dr. Timothy Summers was invited by PM as part of our annual Masterclass. Together with this cyber strategy expert, we helped an international organization that had fallen victim to hackers. Collaborating closely for three days and nights, we worked hard to support business continuity, cyber emergency response, internal and external communication, individual coaching and consulting.

At PM we have a clear vision about helping out when our contacts are facing a real crisis situation. We prepare ourselves to drop all non-vital PM operations so we can offer all resources we can make available in terms of your needs. Our support is provided as part of the pre-agreed PM's Fast Crisis Activation service. Reply to this e-mail if you want to learn more.
Upgrading the CIP Simulator
The CIP Simulator presents your team with evolving crisis scenarios.

We have seen a steady growth in the use of our CIP Simulator over the past few years. Because PM believes in the power of this nifty piece of software, we pay close attention to the needs and wishes of exercise organisers. That's why Tim Van Achte, founding father and lead developer of the platform, regularly performs maintenance work while adding new features to the platform. In a short behind the scenes article, he shares some details and improvements of this valuable platform loved by many crisis teams for bringing simulated crisis situations to life.

Crisis strategist, what are your values?
Who you are as a person determines your strategies.

Challenging our Masterclass participants (October 2017) to think deeply on the concept of crisis strategy, Stijn Pieters asked a simple yet thought provoking question, involving personal and organisational values as a crisis professional ...
