November announcements: New media exposure of IDG outcomes, NIH's Data policies feedback and NIH's Common Fund data utility funding opportunities, IDG outreach meetings.

Video Exposure of IDG

Introducing a new avenue for exposing works by IDG - the DruggableGenome IDG Youtube channel.  We aim to utilize this channel for sharing presentations, outreach campaigns and tutorials.  And to kick it off, we have posted Dr. Tudor Oprea's talk entitled "Are We There Yet? On the Use of AI in Drug Discovery", where he shares machine learning tales as part of KMC work.

NIH solicitation for input, announcement of new funding opportunities

On November 8th, NIH released a Draft NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing, and you are encourage to share your thoughts and comments on this manner, by January 10, 2020.  The Comment Form is found here.

In addition, NIH announced a new funding opportunity for Pilot Projects Enhancing Utility and Usage of Common Fund Data Sets (R03 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) - RFA-RM-19-012. Application due date is February 19, 2020.

Congratulations to all for a great meeting on 'Finding Targets For Drug Discovery' on Nov. 15th at the Wellcome Genome Campus in Hinxton, UK. Please watch DruggableGenome.net for updates on shared presentations and posters.

Registration for an upcoming IDG Outreach meeting taking place in Chapel Hill, NC on May 4-5, 2020 with invited speakers and IDG speakers will be coming soon.
