NEWS HIGHLIGHTS

This month’s IDG news shines a light on IDG outcomes in the rodent world – namely mouse resources. And reminds you of our upcoming IDG/Open Targets meeting in Hinxton, UK focusing on 'Finding Targets For Drug Discovery.' Registration is still open.

Highlighting IDG Mouse resources

IDG consortium includes 3 DRGC (pronounced 'drugs'), all of whom are focused on Data and Resource Generation. The mouse resources stemming from IDG sponsorship are made available via the repository of MMRRC (Mutant Mouse Resource & Research Centers), as found in their major collection under ‘IDG’. To date there are 4 resources that have been deposited:

MMRRC: 050616-UCD Knock-In with cas9 and ZNF10 (zinc finger protein 10), Donor: Michael McManus (DRGC-Ion Channel) B6.Cg-Igs2,^{tm1(CAG-cas9*/ZNF10*)Mtm}/Mmucd

MMRRC: 065282-UNC CRISPR with cre recombinase and Tas2r108 (taste receptor, type 2), Donor: Bryan Roth C57BL/6J-Tas2r108^{em1(Tas2r108*,cre)Blr}/Mmnc (Note: Data suggest that the mouse Tas2r108 gene is the homolog to human TAS2R4. See UniProt at https://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9JKT3.)
