It’s national Recycle Week
It’s national Recycle Week so what better time for us to remind you about what can and can’t be recycled at home.
This year we’re all being urged to ‘Step It Up’ in the fight against climate change and take action to protect our environment through better recycling habits.
Reducing our waste and recycling more of the right things, more often, are simple steps which we can all take to help.

Work from home, work from the office – five questions on hybrid working for trustees to think about
For trustees of many organisations, helping staff to navigate their path back to the workplace as we move through the pandemic will be a significant challenge. One key area to think about will be people’s desire to explore hybrid working so they can get the benefits of working both in the office and at home.
Here Cambridge CVS have pulled together their five questions trustees should be thinking about when discussing hybrid working. |

Savvy social media: time well spent
Although social media platforms are free to use and there are many 'freemium' scheduling tools to be had, it can be costly when it comes to investing your time.
In this blog, Salford CVS' 'official' tweeter and unofficial Instagram addict Becky Roberts shares her tips for getting the most out of the time you spend posting and engaging on social media.

Keep safe as the seasons change
The tang of autumn is in the air, and as the seasons change, many of us will be spending more time indoors.
Covid-19 is still with us, so it's important not to let our guard down and do all we can to stop the spread of coronavirus as we head into winter.
Here’s how to do your bit:
- Test regularly – order or pick up test kits, or have a supervised test at a local pharmacy. Testing info here.
- Have both doses of the vaccination.
- Remember hands, face, space, let fresh air in.

AVA is a long established, locally based infrastructure organisation providing support to,
information for and connectivity between smaller less well resourced, often not too
visible, voluntary and community groups in several distinct neighbourhoods.
AVA is in an exciting position having been recently rejuvenated. Currently we have
