LocJAM, the non-profit online videogame translation contest, has returned!
In order to participate, you simply need to download a "translation kit" that will be published on LocJAM.org from this 14th of March 2016, translate its content and submit your translation by the 27th of March 2016.
Your translation (which has to be submitted in either Professional or Amateur category) will be judged by experts for each of the available languages: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, Russian, European Spanish and Latin American Spanish.
Here are some rules about the contest:
- You can participate from everywhere around the world and the contest is completely free.
- You can participate as a team, however, only one person will be eligible to receive the prize (studio tour or diploma)
- Each candidate can only submit one participation file, meaning that you will only be able to participate in one language category.
- Anyone who had the "translation kit" before the beginning of the contest (like workshop hosts) is automatically excluded.
Here are a few insight on this year’s game, taken from our FAQ!
This year we will have a board-game, in order to make editing and testing more accessible than ever. It will be around 3000 words long, with most of the content included in a manual in Word format (.doc) and a few other words in a map and other markers included in a Power Point file (.ppt).
See you Monday the 14th of March 2016 and, if you like what we are doing, please spread the word!
