Woohoo! It's a holiday weekend. Make our Sunday morning brunch and worship time part of your plans.
How many s'mores have you eaten this summer? Me? Too many. And this being a holiday weekend there are rumors of more s'more potential on Saturday night and Sunday or Monday evening. My grandkids love s'mores. My favorites are made with peanut butter cups.
It's a holiday weekend. I think we Linscott's have 4 events on the activities calendar. And, we'll make Sunday morning brunch part of our weekend plans too. I see the makings of Robin's french toast casserole (I think she got the recipe from Vicki M) on the counter. Yum.
I hope you are planning to join us in the dining room Sunday at 10 AM and bring a dish to share if you are able. If you can't bring a dish, it's fine! Come anyway. We'll have enough.
Bring something for Show and Tell. I might bring a family picture. The theme is God's blessing, God's provision or representing how God has been teaching you. It's a small group, table thing we'll be doing so share if you want and can. My family picture? When I had my liver transplant, we had a family of six. Now we have a family of 12. There were plenty of times when I thought I would not live to have the life I am blessed with today. God has been so good!
Come. Bring the kids. There's no nursery and we don't care that kids are noisey. Let them run and play in the fenced in back yard of the church if you want. Our breakfast brunches are relaxed, fun and interactive.
We will miss those of you who are traveling, moving kids into college or closing up camps. You ARE missed when you are not with us. I pray you have a safe holiday and are able to take time to be quiet and reflect on God's goodness. I dare you to do the Show and Tell at some point in your weekend too.
Hugs and more s'mores to you!
PS - it's time to play catch-up on our summer giving. While we've all gone away at times and missed Sundays, the bills never took even one Sunday off. I wish bills would take the summer off. That would be nice. Lots of use use the online giving service our church subscribes to. It's the largest provider, is quick and simple and even allows us to make it automated if we want to be sure that our giving takes first priority every week and is truly our "first fruits." Click below if you want to give it a try.
