Hi <<First Name>>
Everybody's worked up because we are going to get 2,3,4,5 feet of snow depending on who you listen to. Saturday night into Sunday snow is not my favorite thing. It always puts me in the position of cancel or forge ahead? And when do we make that call?
Some churches have already cancelled. My problem is that I have trust issues. I don't trust meteorologists. That comes from past experience of calling things off too early or too late when the forecast changed. Was it two winters ago or three when all the area churches cancelled on Saturday night and we woke up to sunshine and "oops! It went out to sea?"
So, here's the plan. We won't make the call until late Saturday night at the earliest if we see snow piling up. Check your email or our Facebook page.
YES! THE SATURDAY PARENTS' TIME OUT PROGRAM IS STILL ON! 10-1
YES! OPEN DOOR KITCHEN IS ON! COME HELP. 4:30-6:00
WHAT IF WE DO HAVE TO CANCEL THE SUNDAY SERVICE?
Let's meet online at 10 AM at https://www.facebook.com/FirstBaptist.Westbrook . Bring your coffee, your bible and get comfy. I'll be in my recliner next to the pellet stove. We'll talk about what happens when we are in the right place at the right time with the right response in following Jesus. We'll talk a little about how life is unfair at times and makes no sense when "time and chance happens to them all." Ecclesiastes 9:11
- You don’t have to start a movement to be a part of a movement.
- God is always moving – different callings, different places, different times. (John 5:17)
- When you are in the right place at the right time with the right response, God does the exponential for His purposes.
It's the same plan if the storm takes a left and we meet at the church.
Check on each other and neighbors and stay off the ice disk! Have a great weekend,
The Sunday morning Breakfast Roundtables will be cancelled if the service at our building is cancelled.
