It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas! Thank you to everyone who has helped get the building to look so festive! Our Christmas Card exchange box is now in the foyer, don't forget to check for cards. We always have a lot left at the end of the season.
This coming week will be very busy at the church as we prepare for the Craft Fair. Want to help out? We have two needs:
1) We still need donations of baked goods for our bake sale! Anything you can make is great! You can bag them, or just bring what you have and we'll bag for you. We don't need to know what you're making, but please tell Afton if you're able to help. Drop off Friday (the 7th) from 5-8pm at the church or Saturday morning between 7-10am.
2) People to help our crafters carry items in and out of the building. We had the Guatemala Missions team doing this last year and we made a good impression on our crafters. Most fairs don't offer that kind of assistance. Set up is Friday night from 6-8pm and again Saturday morning from 7-10am. Then we'll be looking for help carrying things out and "resetting" the church beginning at 4pm. If you can lend a hand during any of those times it would be very much appreciated! Let Afton know if you plan to come, but signing up isn't necessary.
And of course, we'd love if it you stop by the fair to have a look around. We've got 31 vendors on 2 floors and a great variety of items! All proceeds from crafter registration, bake sale and silent auction go toward our mission supporting the Westbrook Recovery Liaison Program which helps Mainers battling drug addiction. No funds from this event support the ongoing ministries of the church.
Join us Sunday morning at 10am! We're going to hear a sermon on "Real Hope and Poor Arguments". We miss you when you aren't with us!
