We're focusing on going All-In with Jesus

Tomorrow morning we will start a three-week series focusing on committing everything to following Jesus and becoming like him. Tomorrow we will look at give the deed to our lives to Jesus. Lots of people ask Jesus into their hearts, right? What if we looked at it like a house? What room is the heart of house? Is it the living room? The dining room?  Do we invite Jesus into the living room but tell him the closets are off-limits? Is that what Jesus called us to? I hope you'll be able to join us. I ordered a bunch of a classic booklets called "My Heart Christ's Home" to give everyone. It is an awesome way to think of what it means to commit yourself to Jesus so come get yours.

Guatemala Meet-up after worship -
Last week's meeting was messed up by the snowstorm so we will try again tomorrow realizing that some cannot make it because of the date change. It's all good. If you can come, bring your completed medical paperwork and your passport so we can get a copy of it. If you need the medical forms, let Afton Morton know.

SOUPer Bowl food drive time!
Our annual SOUPer Bowl has nothing to do with football. We use the football frenzy to have some fun doing a food drive for area food pantries and our own, little emergency food closet. Bring in some canned goods, peanut butter, pasta, non-perishables to vote for The Chiefs or The Forty-Niners. Place your items under the sign for the team you think will win the big game.

Water drinkers. We need more water.
Pick up a case or two to bring in?

New to all this?
We have several people who made the decision to allow Jesus to be their Shepherd in life a couple weeks ago. That's awesome. Your life is new now and this is a new beginning but that doesn't mean things will suddenly be easy. Following Christ and walking in his peace and rest requires effort on our part to get to know him. Let's get together for breakfast or another time to chat or connect with an FBC friend who you know is following Christ. They'll be glad to help you get your new relationship off to a strong start.

God sure is on the move in our church body, giving us growth, building our relationships and showing us so many ways we can love others in our community. It's pretty exciting. Plug in and be part of it, find your place to serve and grow.

Love you guys,
Scott Linscott
