Hey! Is God calling you to cure cancer?
How about end world hunger? Is he calling you to make adoption easier for all? How about start a new ministry to end alcohol and drug dependency? Woah! That would be awesome, huh?

Yeah, but it's doubtful any of us is called to do something that big. So, we're just not called, right? We're just supposed to hang around waiting for heaven apparently. Or are we?

I've got news for you. YOU ARE CALLED to some very important. Sunday morning we are going to talk about the callings we all share.

While we're hanging around listening for a booming voice from the sky, God has given us a personal letter that he wrote for us. You've heard the bible called "God's Word," right? Well, the thing is, the bible actually is literally God's letters to his kids. And it is full of his directions for full and abundant life.

I hope you will make Sunday morning worship a priority. We are going to be giving the Westbrook Recovery Liaison Program a BIG check because of God's call on our lives. Let's fill the place to join together and give the gift.

I hope you're most excited to join with others to worship the living God. That is why we gather. And when we do that, so many good things happen in our church family.

AND STAY FOR THE CHILI COOKOFF at 11:15 in the dining room downstairs. Bring a chili, if you dare. I hear the competition is going to be stiff this year. Vote for my chili! I don't know which number it will be but I need your vote for sure. haha

Have a great weekend,
Scott

MEN'S BREAKFAST AT MY HOUSE SATURDAY MORNING AT 8:00 AM. We're going to hear why New Orleans QB Drew Brees says his faith is so important to him.

Thank You for Supporting Our Local Food Pantries!

We had another successful SOUPer Bowl Food Drive and I think it was clear who won: Our Local Food Pantries! We restocked our emergency pantry in the church and also were able to bring 12 bags to the Westbrook Food Pantry and 3 bags to the high school.

Who Will Win the Golden Ladle?

Will Steve Verrill take the Golden Ladle again or will we have a new champion? Enter a chili or bring a side or dessert if you can. Hang out after our worship gathering and have some fun.
