Is it time for your comeback?

If it is, I want to encourage you to commit yourself fully, move beyond past regrets and do what you know needs to be done to make your comeback reality.

The most common comebacks encouraged at this time of year tend to focus on losing weight and getting into shape. People come back to the gym in droves. I know, most don't stay but some do. 2020 will be the year it stuck for some. Why not you?

Some battling addiction need to go all in and make their comeback to sobriety. For some, 2020 will be the year they finally regain control and make their comeback.

What comeback do you need? Is your marriage strained and lacking intimacy? Is it time to make your comeback educationally? Is it time to make a comeback and stop being a slave to debt? I am confident that 2020 will be your comeback year if you go all in.

How about your spiritual life? Time to reset priorities and make your comeback to what you know is important? Is it time to come back to church and start growing again? Don't let the awkwardness of feeling like you've been gone too long keep you from making your comeback.

Do you know the story of the prodigal son? It's the kid who takes his inheritance and blows it all. Rather than eat another meal with pigs he decides to try to come back to see if his dad will hire him. His dad runs to him, hugs him, welcomes him and they celebrate his comeback.
I believe that's the way your comeback will also happen at church. Big hugs! Big celebration. And I also know your comeback at AA meetings, at the gym, or when you sign up for classes will be celebrated too.

Everyone loves the comeback! So, what do you say? Make it happen in 2020?

Sunday morning I'll be talking about one of the keys to living with peace, joy, purpose, fulfillment and perspective. We'll be talking about the Spiritual Discipline of gratitude and how developing it can define us.

I hope we'll see you Sunday morning. It doesn't matter to me if you come every week or stopped going to church 2 years ago, 4 years or 20 years. Everyone is welcomed the same. Everyone loves the comeback.

Make your comeback!

Happy New Year!
