Our faith in Christ is a bridge to our community, our neighbors, the people around us.

Think for a second about the story of the Good Samaritan. Think about Jesus telling us, "the way you love the least of these is the way you love me."

This Sunday is going to be pretty cool. I'm pumped that Danielle Rideout, the director of the Westbrook Recovery Liaison Program will be with us. She'll share briefly during the service before I talk a little more about the bridges we have in Christ and then she'll make a presentation as part of our potluck lunch downstairs after the service. If you are able, bring a dish to share. And if you can't, that's fine because we always have plenty. Please stay and listen to one way we can be a bridge of help in our community. God has put us in the middle of Westbrook for a reason!

I hope you're planning to make it Sunday morning and I hope you can stay for the lunch. We'll be done, with full tummies, by 12:15. We'll make it home in plenty of time for 1 PM kickoff.

Thanks for being part of things around here. God is clearly up to some pretty cool things!

Have a great weekend!
Scott

PS - Men, come let me cook some breakfast for you tomorrow morning 11/10 at 8 AM in my mancave at 5 Village Lane, Westbrook. It's an informal, small group, connecting time.

Operation Christmas Child boxes are due this Sunday!
