The CDC and Governor Mills is recommending that large groups (250) take a break for awhile and recent travelers, elderly and ill self regulate
Yes! We're still meeting for worship Sunday.
Big groups are being encouraged to take a break. We're not big. We're a smaller, family-style church so, for the time being, we are still meeting at our building. BUT, if you are in the vulnerable population, have been traveling within the last few weeks or are feeling ill at all, stay home and watch online. If our online streaming goes funky, as happens now and then, we'll upload the COMPLETE SERVICE on Monday so you can take part.
We've sprayed down surfaces, cleaned a little extra and have the hand sanitizer stations ready. Let's not greet each other with "a holy kiss" and even replace our hugs with a smile and wave for a bit.
We are ready to take everything online if needed and the CDC directs but online is definitely not accomplishing the goals of gathering together and functioning as a body, if possible. We'll let everyone know as things change.
Sunday, we will continue in our series talking about God's Heart for Children and our opportunity to respond to His calling. I'm looking forward to it!
Also, I was in and out of Hanny's this morning in less than 10 minutes with turkey kielbasa, some cheese and some eggs for making Quiche for our Sunday morning ROUNDTABLES group at 8:45 AM. Join us!
Love you guys. Check on one another and watch out for the more vulnerable,
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Is. 41:10
STARTING FROM SCRATCH
First, we need to recreate our church directory and information. In order to do this, we need some information from you. Let us know your family's names, address, birthdays, phone number(s), and email address(es). You can text these to Scott (207-400-2481), email Shara (firstname.lastname@example.org), or hand-deliver them to Shara. Why do we need this info? Just for body life and communication. Say someone says, "Does anyone know a painter I can hire?" If we know your number we can get ahold of you. Or, "hey, I have some kids' pants, do you have Julie's number?"
WEEKLY BULLETIN CHANGE
Let's save paper and cut back on the cost of printing supplies. Go digital! We'd like to get the majority of our people who are able to either pull up the bulletin on their phones or tablets and save the limited printed bulletins for the older people and new visitors. The plan is to put a PDF of the bulletin up on the calendar (which can be found on FBCWestbrook.com under the calendar link). When you click on the AM Worship event on the date, you should see a PDF bulletin that you can download. You can also click right here now.
As you probably assumed, our 2020 Guatemala Mission trip has been postponed. Guatemala is now quarantining international arrivals for at least a week.
