A cheery hello to you all, and a warm welcome to my new subscribers. I hope this email finds you well.
I have a new artwork to share, a new video and a new initiative...
A return to the woods...
I managed to see the local bluebells this year as one of my daily walks. It was a cheerful sunny day and I came home very inspired.
This is Bluebell Solitude, it was really peaceful to work on and I hope you agree that peacefulness carries through to the finished work.
This piece has a image area of 30x20cm and I printed it in six layers. I am planning to do a summery companion to it next.

More Japanese themed work coming soon :)
Instagram initiative: #artistsupportpledge
I am very happy to announce that I have joined the growing number of artists on Instagram who are taking part in this initiative.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many artists around the world have found themselves with a reduced income. In an attempt to help alleviate some of this stress artist Matthew Burrows instigated the #artistsupportpledge.

The concept is a simple one. You post images of your work on Instagram which are no more than £200 each (not including shipping.) Anyone can then buy the work. Every time you reach £1000 of sales you pledge to buy another artist's work for £200.

Artist Support Pledge is a generous culture in support of artists and makers.

A lot of my work is already under £200, however, I have also decided to temporarily reduce the price of some of my larger works including the pieces below, so that they can be included.
Featured above: Lake View With Swan, Daisy Delights (Low Stock), Stratford Reflections and Mevagissey Boats (Only One Left!)

My website shop has also had a few improvements including additional images and new featured section. Click here to take a look:

Virtual Artweeks continues until the 25th May
Today should have been the last day of my open studio. I'm hoping to open my studio later in the year, we shall see how things pan out. In the meantime, here is a snapshot of what you should have been able to see...
Recorded as an addition to my Artweeks gallery page, here is a chat to camera and quick studio tour.
