If your inbox is anything like mine right now, it is all about cancellations and postponements... I did have events to invite you to but now my diary has emptied. The next event I have coming up is now Bucks Art Weeks in June, and well, we shall see. I really hope things are back to normal by then but who knows...

Brill Art on the Hill in March and Oxfordshire Artweeks in May are both cancelled.

I have decided to look at the positive side however, which is that I now have lots more time to make prints. I had a fabulous trip to Japan last September which has inspired several new works already and there are lots more pieces I want to create. More about my trip to Japan soon, but for now I have two bits of good news to share...
Royal Academy Summer Exhibition
Hopefully!
I am thrilled that these two pieces have been shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year! They are due to be delivered in May and face the final judging. Please keep your fingers crossed for them, not only that they get through but also that the exhibition goes ahead at all. It has run every year without fail since 1769 so it would be a huge shame if they had to cancel it this year due to the virus.
At least my pieces got this far, an achievement worth celebrating in itself.
10 Poems for Spring
A Candlestick Press Poetry Pamphlet
I am really chuffed to announce that my work Batsford Blossom in Shade has been used as a cover for the latest Candlestick Press poetry pamphlet, 10 Poems for Spring. These gorgeous A5 pamphlets are designed to be sent instead of greetings cards. They are guaranteed to cheer you and your friends and family up! They have plans to release Summer, Autumn and Winter later this year, all with my linocuts for covers.
You can purchase this Spring edition here: www.candlestickpress.co.uk
Thank you for your support... and take care :)
I know that life has taken a rather unexpected turn but I hope that in place of visiting Brill and my open studio this spring that you can continue to show your support by shopping for my linocuts and greetings cards through my website, and liking and commenting on my social media posts.
It is only through the support of my customers that I am able to continue doing this job. Best wishes and stay healthy everyone.
