This is God's Church and we are in God's hands and that's a really good place to be!

On November 3, 2019 , we will welcome Fr. Rick, and his wife Rita, to our congregation as the Interim Priest for St. Brigit. They have moved to Frederick so they will not only be a part of St. Brigit but our neighbors as well.

Fr. Rick ’s formal title is Reverend Doctor Frederick William Meyers. When asked how he would like to be addressed…he will leave that up to what is most comfortable to the various people in the congregation….Fr. Rick or Rick.

Fr. Rick has been a priest since 1980. He has served in several congregations in Colorado including:
-23 years as Rector at Christ’s Episcopal Church in Castle Rock
-Interim at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Denver
-Rector/Vicar/Priest in Charge at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Parker.  Of interest to those of us on the BCC was St.Mathews was a fledgling mission congregation. They held services in a small house, another church, a school cafeteria and... A RENOVATED GARAGE! ......An eight year project that is still thriving in Parker…
-Bi-vocational Priest at St. Barnabas Episcopal  Church in Cortez and Hope Care & Counseling.

His formal education began with  B.A.and M.A. degrees in Psychology/Education, Michigan State University followed with Master of Divinity, Iliff School of Theology; Sacred Theology Masters from Nashotah House Theological Seminary; Doctorate of Ministry, Pastoral Counseling, Graduate Theological Foundation.

Rick is also a community minded person who has served on town councils and planning commissions as well as providing leadership services to for-profit and non-profit organizations in communities where has served as a priest. His wife, Rita, has always been a contributing member of congregations where they have served. We look forward to her many years of experience and to getting to know the Meyers as a couple in our community at St. Brigit.

PLEASE join us on November 3rd to welcome the Meyers to St. Brigit’s Community.  There will be a celebration during  the coffee hour time for both the Stewardship Ingathering and an opportunity to talk with Fr. Rick and Rita.
