Friends,
As I am sure you all are aware, our community is currently experiencing elevated levels of Covid transmission and GCS has suspended in-person meetings, which will include the January PTSA meeting that had been scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday the 11th. In lieu of a meeting this month we will instead distribute a budget update next week to PTSA members (also through email) and will let you know as soon as possible the status for February's meeting. If we are still unable to meet in person for February we will schedule a virtual meeting instead. Thanks for your understanding in this matter!
Lastly, if you or anyone you know would be interested in being a mentor to a high school student or small group of students please send Ms. Hartgrove an email at hartgra@gcsnc.com. Grimsley is working to set up mentors for our students and are looking for some great mentors to connect our students with!
Please stay safe and healthy!
Kindly,
Amanda Buchanan
Grimsley PTSA President

Cap and Gown Update
To date, about half of the senior class has ordered the required cap and gown for graduation. Due to supply chain delays, waiting until later to order a cap and gown may mean it doesn’t arrive in time for graduation. Additionally, shipping costs will go up in January. If you haven’t ordered, you can do so at highschool.herffjones.com. All ordering details are in the senior packet that went home November 4th. The back of the bright green important dates also contains information about the cap and gown.
