New toolbox to help small businesses take climate action

Along with our partners, we've launched the Climate Action Toolbox to help smaller businesses reduce their carbon emissions. Small-to-medium businesses make up a large part of New Zealand’s economy and their combined efforts on climate change could have a significant effect on the country’s emissions.

Climate change is the biggest issue facing the planet today. Business has a major role to play in transitioning Aotearoa to a net zero carbon economy by 2050. We need to halve our emissions 2030. Our Climate Action 20/25 project is helping businesses reach that goal.

Supporting island life with jobs for nature

With the help of SBN, the Waiheke Resources Trust has so far received a total of $595,000 funding from the Government’s Jobs for Nature Fund. That's supporting people in the local community with environmental employment and helping to safeguard local tourism operators.
