Watch our too for...

To be released 2016!

Once again on 31st October Rochester  Cathedral was filled with the prayers and praises of God’s people gathering from across the Medway Towns and the various denominations for their annual “Saints Alive” Service. Convened by Churches Together in Medway, of which Director Peter Marchand is the Chairman, we meet on this specific night to confuse and confound the powers of darkness. They cannot handle Christians praying and praising and worshipping God together! The theme was “Justice, or Just-Us? Inn CM is privileged to be instrumental in the establishing of a Winter Shelter for the Homeless in Medway, opening January 2016, God willing.

Relevant Question

Why are not all sick people healed when prayed for in Jesus’ name?

Peter replies with relevant answer

There is power in the blood of Jesus to heal (1 Peter 2.24).  It is activated through faith, prayer and the laying on of hands (Mark 5.33-34; 11.24; 16.18).  Sickness is a fact of life simply because access to the Tree of Life has been removed (Genesis 3.22-24). Timothy, the apostle Paul’s beloved disciple, was frequently sick.  Paul himself suffered physically despite repeated prayer, and took a doctor with him on his travels (Luke).  Trophimus was sick. (1Timothy 5.23; 2 Corinthians 12.7; 2 Timothy 4.20).  God even says He is the One who makes people dumb, deaf, seeing and blind (Exodus 4.11).  Not many Christians I know seem to be aware of that particular Scripture!

Jesus makes it clear that not all sickness is the result of sin, as in the case of the man born blind (John 9.1-3) .  But sickness can also be because of sin. If you break bread, take Communion, whatever term you want to use, in an unworthy manner you will bring sickness on yourself (1 Corinthians 1 1.27-30) .   We are not all healed for one of several reasons.  Lack of faith certainly is one (Matthew 13.58).  To keep us humble is another, as in the case of the apostle Paul, and to build faith and release greater spiritual power and establish Christ within us (2 Corinthians 12.7-9).  Scripture is clear about what to do if you are sick (James 5.14-16).  Anything else is a gimmick.
