On Sunday the team hosted the Southern New England Advocacy Conference. At this event we had 13 teams from Massachusetts and Connecticut come together to learn about advocacy. Then on Tuesday everyone went to their statehouses to talk to their representatives about FIRST with the goal of getting funding for all teams in their states.
The team visited with the office of Senator Chandler, and with Representatives Donahue, LeBeouf, and O'Day. At each meeting they were very excited to hear about how our new robot is doing and also willing to help us get funding for teams in the state.
After our meetings we had a reception where everyone from the statehouse was invited. We were one of three teams that were demonstrating our robots to the state senators and representatives.
The 2020 robot is coming along well. We now have two weeks to go before our first competition. At this time the driveline and the "tube" which brings the balls from the collector to the shooter are assembled and ready to use. The collector is one meeting away from being powered up. The turret is able to track the goal as it moves while the next project is to build the shooter. At that point we will be in good shape to start driving around and doing a full systems test.

Many members of the team have been working on a website for all FIRST teams to use. It is called Find Robot Parts and can be found at http://findrobotparts.com/.
The goal is to make it easier to find the part you need without having to visit dozens of different websites.
The team would like to thank its generous contributors:
