Astoria has been central to the fabric of our community for decades. Even through nearly twenty years of closure, residents knew this space and the essential benefits that come with it were just too important to lose. Our Conservancy, founded from that realization, is committed to providing community connections that inspire livability, health and wellbeing for years to come– and no “bump in the bridge” will stop that work.
For now– our efforts are behind the scenes, planning for 2023 and for a grand reopening when safe travel to our space is possible. Working with our 35 local partners, our work will go on - whether we are closed for a week or a month (or longer).
