Start lessons 12 September 2015

Same time, same place, same price. From 12 September till 12 December. Do you want to learn to play Brazilian music? In our lessons you will learn to play styles like Samba and Bossa Nova, which all comes from the "mother" of these styles: Choro. The lessons are in groups, and it's a true experience every saturday with good vibes and beautiful music. And don't forget the delicious food made by Olga from Natural do Brasil! Feel free to visit the lessons and experience it yourself. Every saturday we start at 10:30 with the lessons for adults, piano, guitar, cavaquinho, flute/winds and percussion. If you have any questions please mail to choroschool@gmail.com

Special course for Kids:
Every saturday music course especially for kids. They will dance, sing and learn to play flute, percussion,piano...and have lots of fun with music! Groups selected by age. From 6 till 9 years or 9 till 12. Mail us for information about lessons for your kid.

Roda de choro/ Brazilian Jamsessions

The lovely Choro sessions in Bird on Sunday afternoon will go on this season! Starting at 16:00, bring your instrument and dance. Besides Choro, Samba and delicious Pizzas you can also enjoy the Afro Latin Social Club with dance workshops and Latin DJ's.

The Brazilian sessions in Grounds on Monday have finished, but you can still jam along the monday nights with Pop and Jazz music.

Afterparty Brazilian Forró and Samba

Finally the long expected cd of Cariopa is out!!

Cariopa is a unique group of musicians who are seen as the ambassadors of Brazilian choro in the Netherlands. The members of Cariopa are also part of the teaching staff of EPM Holanda.
In an authentic setting of seven-string guitar, cavaquinho, flute and pandeiro they share their passion for choro and samba through original compositions and arrangements of the classics.
This month they release their debut album on which they are heard with various guest soloists and vocalists, whit whom they often also play live performances, such as Julião Pinheiro Rabello, Lilian Vieira and Fulvia di Domenico.
Cariopa already played at various venues and festivals in the Netherlands and in Brazil.

The album "Noites Cariopas" is released under the label ACARI Records, one of the leading labels for Brazilian choro music. The distribution in Europe is by Harmonia Mundi.
The CD is available in stores from September 2015 or via internet.

Afterparty with the forrozeiro from Pernambuco Brasil: Ivison Santos and Friends. Ivison plays Forró at Zabumba, sanfona 8 baixos and many other instruments, so let’s dance!
