We are also happy to share with you that SELAL will once again be offered at the CTP Puerto Jimenez in January, engaging local youth in English, sustainability, and leadership education. Camino de Oro: Soft opening Spring 2016

Camino de Oro, the first tourism route of Caminos de Osa, will have its soft opening in the spring of 2016. Featuring entrepreneurs who have been supported by the Caminos de Liderazgo program, the Camino de Oro is a network of rural community tourism businesses. The Camino de Oro starts at Finca 6, an archaeological site in Palmar Sur, and will eventually reach Carate. Read more

Advances in the Experimental African Palm Laboratory 

The Experimental African Palm Laboratory, or LAPA, is currently advancing. Coordinated by Diego Garcia, the tests plots have now been planted with palm and banana. The paired test plots are located in seven different locations. Read more

Declaration of Yigüirro as National Bird

SELAL Returns to the CTP Puerto Jimenez

On January 11th, 2016, INOGO will launch the third implementation of its youth training and environmental education program, SELAL, with the Puerto Jimenez Vocational High School (CTP). We are excited to be returning to Puerto Jimenez to engage with local youth, and bring together generous partners in the community, public, and private sector to focus on socio-environmental sustainability. Caminos de Osa on Canal 7

On November 2 the Canal 7 program 7 Dias aired a story showcasing Caminos de Osa.  Don’t miss this wonderful program, which features so many familiar faces and highlights the hard work that has been done to create the Caminos de Osa tourism destination. Read more
