| Changes to Billing and Support Effective January 1, 2017 |
As we prepare to enter into 2017, we would like to make you aware of a few billing and policy changes that will take effect on January 1, 2017.
Bear Technologies(r) will be moving to a monthly invoice that will reflect and bill for the number of devices on your network on a given day. We will no longer prorate billing for devices added mid-month or removed mid-month. If you renew on the 1st of each month and add a device on the 20th of the preceding month, you will not be billed for the 20th through the 31st of previous month. Likewise, if you remove on the 20th of the month you will not be refunded an amount from the 20th through the end of the preceding month. This change will allow for cleaner billing on your monthly invoices and will align with standards present in our industry.
Effective January 1, 2017, Bear Technologies will no longer support Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems. If you need assistance in determining if you have any devices utilizing these operating systems, please consult your monthly Proactive Technology Management Report or contact Abigail Smith at abigail@beartech.com. If you need assistance replacing devices or upgrading machines to the newer operating systems, please contact Chuck Cannon at chuck@beartech.com.
