Cannes, May 18 – The Horyou Foundation will host a Gala Dinner at the Villa Saint Georges on May 20 amid the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. The Gala, dedicated to raising funds to support a wide range of endeavors for social good, will gather an important group of esteemed guests of honor and will also feature artistic performances and a live auction.
During cocktail hour at 7:30 p.m., artists Lassad Metaoui and Rémi Bertoche will each be creating a painting to be auctioned later in the evening. Renowned three-star Michelin chef Marc Veyrat will treat the gala attendees to an intricate menu of his creation while such guests of honor as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Marisa Berenson and Dr. Georges Bwelle, an altruist and CNN Hero, will share their experiences.

Many other proponents of social good will be attending this exciting event. Live entertainment will include famous pianist Chow Ching Ling – a guest of honor – and flutist Wang Wei, as well as surprise guest performances. Following dinner, a live auction will be conducted under the hammer of Pierre Cornette de Saint Cyr. Among the artwork featured in the auction will be paintings by Ghass, Andrei Sharov, Nikolai Dubovik, Christina Oiticica and Jiang Shanqing, as well as a sculpture by Ma Tse Lin. The Gala will be followed by a private party featuring DJ Benjamin Diamond, best known for his collaboration in house music project Stardust with Thomas Bangalter (of Daft Punk).

Founded in Geneva in January 2014, the Horyou Foundation promotes and advances causes for positive action. It plans to fund hundreds of international organizations on the platform of Horyou, the Social Network for Social Good. It provides support primarily to groups involved in humanitarian efforts, aid to science, protection of the environment, promotion of education and support of the arts. The Foundation’s goal is to embrace concrete actions and causes in harmony with the fields listed above anywhere in the world. Its collected funds are redistributed directly or indirectly in the form of participation in, or contribution to, individual and group projects. Additionally, it is planning scholarships and funding to scientists and inventors, as well as any endeavor dedicated to improving lives and living conditions.

The Horyou Foundation relies on the generosity of organizations and individuals to fund projects of positive change worldwide. The proceeds of the Gala will be used to that end.
