WIA-E Rome: STEM - a world of opportunities for girls

21 June Join the conversation with the author Elvina Finzi, Senior director at EssilorLuxottica, Independent Director at Cerved, Young adult author and PhD in Nuclear Engineering. In her book "Oltre le stelle più lontane" she shows how STEM disciplines offer a world of opportunities for girls and women. This Zoom event will be held in Italian.

"Sorry to bother you" and its confident alternatives

Research shows that women apologize more often than men. Think about all the times you use the word “sorry” in a typical day - is it always the right choice? Unnessessary apologizing can make us appear smaller and more timid than we really are, and can undercut our confidence. This article suggests when to skip "sorry" and what you could say instead. And this tool will warn you when you use words or phrases that undermine your message.
