CORNELL INDIA LAW CENTER

Note from Faculty Director

Over the past few months, we have hosted a number of speakers and panels on timely topics that focus on India from a legal perspective. On February 7, guest speakers Dr. Abhishek Singhvi and Justice Arjan Sikri spoke at the Center’s launch event in New Delhi. The guest speakers spoke about the need to reform the Indian judicial system. Smita Narula, Professor at Pace Law School, and Joshua Castellino, Executive Director of Minority Rights Group, delivered lectures at Cornell Law School.

We hope that we will be able to resume our events when it is safe to do so. In the meanwhile, feel free to watch the video recordings of our events, which are available here.

Please see below for more details on our recent events, press coverage of the Center, and a case summary for the Indian Supreme Court case Justice K.S. Puttaswamy v. Union of India.
