April/May 2015

From Carole...

Community Grants are this month's hot topic, with our on-line application going live from today (14 May) and closing on 15 June.  Largely funded from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme, community NRM groups across the Wet Tropics are eligible to apply.  Guidelines, Frequently Asked Questions and a link to the application form are available here.  I strongly encourage all potential applicants to contact your local Terrain staff member for guidance and assistance with the grants process.  I would also like to thank community groups who attended a workshop to help us design the grants process and all those people who have attended the local landscape workshops providing input on priority projects.

Terrain Board decided - The Standing Independent Assessment Panel (SISP) has now concluded its deliberations, following the changed constitution which required Terrain to reduce the Board size from 10 to 7 Directors. The SISP makes the following appointments to commence on 24th April, Ryan Donnelly, Peter Rowles, Keith Noble, Ken Atkinson, Julia Leu, Allison Halliday. The current Chair,  Mike Berwick remains in his role.
