Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues of Emerson College,
Herewith is a short survey... borne out of a wondering who lives and works among us... please click link below:
(Please forgive the method, I know it’s not the ideal and would love for this knowledge to naturally arise out of spending more time with you. But acknowledging the limitations of busy lives and the many different spaces, responsibilities and times we exist in, I hope this might be a small way of finding out more about each other.)
It is not anonymous since its point is to reveal something more of ourselves and how we experience being here. It won't be kept or used as confidential information - please share what you feel comfortable sharing with everyone in the Emerson College community - you can skip questions if you don't want to answer them. If there is ever the occasion for the College to disclose this information to others outside the community, the information will be anonymised.
In the first instance our answers will be seen by the Board of Emerson College: the Trustees, Steve, Yvette; and a few others who are supporting development at the College: myself, Ellie, Chiara. (If you are one of these people please don't forget to answer the survey too!) The intention is quite simply to see and acknowledge more fully who is here, and in doing so perhaps to become aware of how we can act and grow together in supportive and healthy ways.
If you would like to share more than there is space for in the survey you can contact me (or someone else listed above) and perhaps we could find a moment for a cup of tea and more thorough conversation. You can of course send anything written as well, including any ideas you may have for developments at the College.
I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to a space during the holy nights... where we may read, share and contemplate a bit together... a pause for the past and for the future; a moment of stillness next to the candlelight of the Christmas tree. And maybe a little music and some festive edible treats ; ) (instruments and food welcome too!) My house will be open and welcome to all, anytime from 7:30pm each evening from 25th December until the 5th January, and perhaps we will celebrate something of a future Christmas on the 6th January. There is also the Christmas Festival in Ruskin organised by the Anthroposophical Society in Sussex on the 1st holy night (24th) - link to programme below.
With warm wishes to everyone for a deep and peaceful winter,
Christmas Festival Prog 2018
