Dear friends and fellow laborers,
Greetings from the Kansas prairie! Since our last letter, we have have done some of our longest travels yet, covering over 2000 miles in just a couple of weeks. This month we also picked up two new financial partners, bringing us to 49% of our needed monthly support!
First we headed down to Charlotte, North Carolina
for a missions conference. The conference was very good, and the church not only gave the missionaries a really outstanding love offering, they also voted on the spot to take us all on for monthly support!
We left Charlotte on September 21 for our 1200 mile run to Kansas, which takes 3 full days with the RV. In Tennessee we made a stop for a couple of days, and were able to make a visit to a church where the pastor wants to schedule us in the spring. My wife also got to visit her friends in Carthage while we were there. Moving on toward our meetings in Kansas, we stopped in St. Louis, and visited cousins we haven't seen in about 20 years, which was nice! Finally arriving in Kansas, we had good meetings in Salina and Lindsborg,
and also have been able to visit some more of our family, which we haven't seen in about 6 years.
This Friday we head out to Texas
for meetings in Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas-Fort Worth. We hope to also make other visits in the open dates during the winter, when scheduled meetings are sparse. We are working on scheduling 2016 meetings, especially spring
, already having scheduled some in Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York before I hopefully fly up to Alaska for a few weeks of meetings.
Please continue to pray for us:
for safety in travel, that the Lord will enable us to get more meetings scheduled, and that some of the churches where we have presented the ministry will be able to partner with us. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
The Reed Family
