Dear friends and fellow laborers,
Hello again from Romania! We are glad to report that the situation here is improving! Things change from week to week, sometimes from one day to the next, but the country is beginning to open up and return to “normal”.
At the peak of the restrictions, we were required to have a signed document stating a government-approved reason for travel anywhere outside our residence, with penalties up to $2000 for violations. The latest word is that we can now travel anywhere up to about 15 miles without papers, but there are still random checkpoints for reasons that are not clear. Public church services were completely banned for two months, but now we are allowed to meet outdoors if we have enough space. To enter any enclosed space, everyone is required to wear a mask and have their temperature taken, and still maintain 6 feet of space between families. For church services, the preacher or singer can go without a mask if they are at least 10 feet from the congregation. One of our three meeting locations has a courtyard that can meet all of these requirements, so we have resumed two out of our three Sunday services, with some adjustments. For our Wednesday service, we are still meeting online only. Here are some photos of our outdoor services!

Please continue to pray for us: for language learning, for opportunities to witness here, for unity among the brethren, and growth in the churches. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
Daniel, Christa, Erin, Joseph, and Jay Reed
