Dear friends and fellow laborers,
We greet you once again in Christ, and we pray you are prospering in his service. It's good to remember "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Gal 6:9) Sometimes it's hard to see, by faith, that harvest coming!
Since our last letter we have had several blessings. We gained a new supporting partner this month, which is great! Our current support is about 62% of what we expect to need. Some of you may be aware, our car's air conditioning went out in April, and it was recently estimated to cost $1000 to fix. The day we got that estimate, someone offered to pay the whole bill for us! Thanks to the Lord's provision through our faithful friends, we now can drive without being roasted in 105 degree heat! We also have been able to schedule some new meetings in Kansas and Texas heading into this fall, which is good. Another nice thing this month was being able to have a weekend away for our 8th anniversary, thanks to our family offering to take our kids and let us get away a bit. So, sometimes things are tough, and sometimes we get a bunch of blessings in a row!
We are continuing to work on scheduling additional meetings for this fall and into next spring. If the Lord provides, we would like to finish before summer 2017, and get to Romania. For this, we need about 10-20 new supporting partners, and the additional funding in place for the upfront costs of travel and visas. If you would like to give a special offering toward any of these one-time costs, you can do so by mailing a designated check to our mission board at the address below, and they can hold the funds separately for those needs. We expect airfare to be between $3500-$7000, and our visas are expected to be around $1000-2000. Currently, we expect minimal shipping costs for our stuff, and may not need much furnishings on arrival, as many apartments in Brasov are already furnished.
Please continue to pray for us: for safety in travel, that the Lord will enable us to get more meetings scheduled, and that more of the churches where we have presented the ministry will partner with us. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
The Reed Family
