Dear friends and fellow laborers,
Greetings once again in the blessed name of Christ! As we head into fall, we are reminded of the verse, "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved." (Jer 8:20) That verse is sadly true of so many people around the world today, who perish without Christ. Let's get out there and do something about it!
Since our last letter, we have had good meetings in Pennsylvania, Kansas, Nebraska, and Texas. The Lord has kept us safe across thousands of miles of highways, and we have not lacked any necessity of life! We also have had the opportunity to teach our kids about history, with several great museums and historical exhibits along the way. We have had the privilege of presenting the ministry to several churches, and have presented the gospel to many people as we travel and minister. We also had the blessing of hearing from another church partnering with us financially!
Coming up, we are planning to attend some fellowship meetings here in Texas, which we trust the Lord will use to put us in contact with more likeminded churches, who might be able to help us get to the field. We also have scheduled some missions conferences in October and November, and even secured our first meeting of 2017! This is a blessing, as we have struggled this year with getting firm commitments from churches. We are really anxious to get to work in Romania in 2017, if the Lord provides through his people. This would take about 20-30 new financial partners, which really isn't very many, out of all the churches where we have been.
Please continue to pray for us: for safety in travel, that the Lord will enable us to get more meetings scheduled, and that more of the churches where we have presented the ministry will partner with us. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
The Reed Family
