"Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach ...the unsearchable riches of Christ;" Ephesians 3:8
May 3, 2015
Dear friends and fellow laborers,
We greet you again in the name of the Lord! As we travel and have meetings in different churches, we are encouraged and excited to see the work the Lord is doing in other places too! All over this country, in spite of the bad news reports and the moral decline, churches are being planted, existing congregations are growing, faith promise giving is increasing, and the truth goes on. As bad as it may seem looking at the state of the world, God is still faithful, his Word is still fruitful, and our faith still has a sure foundation!
In April we had several good meetings. We traveled from Connecticut back to the Rochester, NY area for missions conference at our home church, as well as another in Webster. In between, we found a meeting in Warren, Ohio, which was also a great time of fellowship. We left our kids with their grandparents overnight and had a little date with our meeting, which was nice! At the end of the month we headed down to Hagerstown, MD for a meeting and then back up to Lehighton, PA, finishing the month at another missions conference.
We are still waiting for some prospective supporters to come through, but updated cost projections indicate we are closer than we thought, which is also encouraging. Also this month, we had opportunities to go and knock on doors in a couple of different areas, with some good prospects appearing from that! Our RV has been doing better now that the weather has improved, which is also nice. Spring isn't just good for the flowers! On another note, I had some unexpected news this month. A former co-worker, whom I trained to replace me when I left for deputation, was electrocuted in a crane accident. It's strange and sobering, considering he was doing my old job with my old truck. I went and visited the staff at the company, and God knows what effect that may have in their lives.
Going into May we plan to be in Pennsylvania and Virginia, with a few openings yet to be filled. Please continue to pray for us: for safety in travel, that the Lord will enable us to get more meetings scheduled, and that more of the churches where we have presented the ministry will be led to partner with us. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
The Reed Family
