Dear friends and fellow laborers,
2015? Did I read that right? Can't believe it's the new year already! Our time in NY is quickly coming to a close for now, as we head back south for a few weeks in our "new" RV! We are excited to be moving forward and becoming more mobile, more available for meetings in a larger segment of the country at a time. We are also excited to put the surprisingly high costs of home rental behind us!
In the beginning of December we had a few meetings, presenting our ministry in Ashland, KY, then down to Carthage, TN for a missions conference, then stopping by Slippery Rock, PA on the way to NY for the Christmas holiday break. While at the missions conference in Tennessee, we got to spend some time with Adam Zander, reviewing our plans to work together. He was able to bring us up to date on some arrival costs that will be lower than we planned, and also we got to discuss details of ministry that showed we are very much "on the same page". While in Rochester for Christmas, we were able to get acquainted with the RV, and we are planning to move into it and head out from here this week. While getting acquainted with the RV, we discovered we needed extra hardware to connect it to the towing bar on our car, which was an unexpected $300 bill. But on the plus side, another church contacted us this month to let us know they are partnering with us!
January brings us to North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. We plan to stop by our house in Ashland, get moved out, and turn it back over to the owner on our way down and back up. We will be headed back to NY about February 6, to help our RV donor with their house remodeling. During that time, they will be arranging some repairs to the RV, to address some ongoing issues. We are thankful to be able to render some construction services in exchange for RV repairs!
Please continue to pray for us, that the Lord will enable us to get more meetings scheduled, and that some of the churches where we have presented the ministry will be able to partner with us. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
The Reed Family
