The Reed Family, Missionaries to Romania
"And let us not be not weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

Dear friends and fellow laborers,

We greet you once again in the name of the Lord, and trust this letter finds you all still doing well and not getting weary! As the world gets colder and darker, we need to get brighter and hotter still in our zeal and faithfulness to our calling.
August was a pretty busy month for us. We started out with a missions conference in Winchester, KY, then headed up to Ohio for our Advanced Missionary Training at All Points, which ran a whole week, and then we went straight to meetings in Point Pleasant, WV, Toledo, OH, and Aliquippa, PA. Our missionary training school was encouraging again, and reminded us of some things we tend to forget in the “busyness” of deputation. When we were finished with our meeting in Aliquippa, we decided to take the opportunity to go up to Rochester, NY, to spend some time with family and our home church. We got to participate in VBS at Old Paths, which was really a good time for all, and several people trusted Christ that week! We also had someone provide a trip to the zoo, which the kids really enjoyed, and we went to a Navy museum in Buffalo with my father-in-law, who retired from the Navy several years ago.
We have several meetings in September, as well as it being the first really significant month for scheduling next year’s meetings, so we would appreciate you all praying with us as we try to fill in the calendar. We currently have about 11 meetings scheduled for this fall, and only 5 set up for next year so far. For September, we will be in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia, including 2 missions conferences.
Last month I had overestimated the support level, but we had some new partners come on board this month, bringing us up to where I had thought we were, about 31%. We thank you all for your prayers and financial support, and ask that you continue to pray for us. Our main prayer needs are for travel safety, ministering to the churches where we travel, opportunities to win souls, scheduling meetings, and raising the needed funds to get overseas. Also, we have been renting a house in Ashland, KY this year, but it’s becoming a problem for us, and we are looking into switching to an RV when our rental is up in the spring, so please pray about that, and if you know someone who can give us a good deal on a good used RV, feel free to contact us at 585-690-6466 or daniel@r2rom.com.
