Dear friends and fellow laborers,
Greetings once again to you our helpers! After several months of struggling along, we received some outstanding gifts this month that have been a great blessing to us. As we mentioned in the last two letters, we are planning to give up our rented house in Ashland KY and move into an RV in the spring, to help us be more mobile and more available for meetings in a broader area, as well as saving all the extra costs of home maintenance. We asked you all to pray for us about this need, and to let us know if you knew of any good deals we might find. The Lord provided for us in that a family from our home church, having previously purchased an RV for missionaries to use, is making it available to us at no cost, for the remainder of deputation! This saves us about $10-15,000 to buy one, and "coincidentally" it is available exactly when we need it. Thanks to the Lord for his provision! Also we heard from another church partnering with us to reach Romania with the gospel, which is also a blessing!
Last month we had two meetings, both in Ohio. We had a great time at both meetings, and Mansfield Baptist Temple was especially helpful to us, making some necessary repairs to our car, as well as giving us a really exceptional love offering. It was really good to see such a large church staying true to sound doctrine and really emphasizing spreading the gospel locally, as well as overseas! We were also able to secure two more meetings this month, both in December, which is extremely unusual, because of the short notice and the holiday season making many churches busy with other things. Again, we thank the Lord for providing for us in this way!
November takes us to Tennessee and West Virginia, with two Sunday meetings and a missions conference scheduled. We still have dates open, but have been getting very few responses from our inquiries. Please continue to pray for us, that the Lord will enable us to get more meetings scheduled, especially going into next spring, and that some of the churches where we have presented the ministry will be able to partner with us. Also please pray that we will be able to get the RV ready and move in during February, which is not usually an optimal time to be working outdoors. Thank you all for your continued prayer and financial support, without which we would not be moving forward.
Serving the King of Kings,
The Reed Family
