Academic Updates from the Dean

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) testing is scheduled for 3/9/22 from 8:30 to 12:00 for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. ASVAB Test is an aptitude test developed by the Department of Defense to measure a young adult’s strengths and potential for success in military training. There are two versions of the test; one for enlistment purposes and the second is a student testing program. The student testing program is used for career exploration at no cost or commitment to military service. The ASVAB provides an interest assessment and planning tool to help young adults explore career field entry requirements and various career paths. The test results are sent to the school so the Cadets can explore career options with our college counselor.

Due to COVID-19 this year’s event will be held virtually on and around the campus of ORMA. The date is Sunday, 20MAR22.

Normally, The Bataan Memorial Death March is conducted at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. THIS IS A WEEKEND EVENT: Training will be held on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Friday afternoon training will follow the “check-out” and will be from 1600-1800. Sunday training will be from 0900-1230. A cadet can only have two “approved” absences from training. SGM McKaughan and SFC Hengeveld are the approving authorities.

Training will begin Friday, 25FEB22 at 1600 and Sunday 27FEB22 training will be from 0900-1230.

The March will be held on Sunday 20MAR22. The starting time will be announced at a later date.
