The College of Engineering and Computer Science will host an information session on various engineering and computer science pathways (several of which are combined 4+1 Bachelors and Masters degrees).  More information about the program can be found here:

Part-time Job @ Lighthouse Elementary School Aftercare

Lighthouse Elementary School Aftercare is looking for part-time help:
  • Responsibilities: help watch kindergarteners in aftercare. No special skills necessary. 
  • Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. MUST be available all 5 days of the week.
  • $11.09 per hour
  • No health benefits
  • LHE is about 5 min away from our campus, on Central and Dakota

Study Participants Wanted 
Lara Boerth-Dryden and Cassidy Brydon are currently looking for females to help us film different actions, such as "blow bubble" or "tie knot."        Each individual will perform only 2 actions and should only take no more than 15 minutes to complete. We will be meeting in the Wilkes Building (WB-next to the tennis courts) in room 210 (on the second floor). Inter-Campus Opportunity  

Wave Program
The Wave program is an undergraduate applied research and entrepreneurial competition.  Students are challenged to come up with innovative ideas/projects to help solve real world issues.  They receive seed funding for their projects and the top three take home a cash prize! 

Art of Science Photo Contest

The FAU Art of Science photo contest is an opportunity that may be of interest to many of our faculty and students (and it's also a great way to highlight some of the amazing research going on here at the HC). Could you post this information on the next newsletter?

Please visit the link below about the new FAU Art of Science photo contest. The deadline for submissions is November 1st. All members of the FAU community (faculty, students and staff) can submit original images of scientific work taking place at FAU, including color-enhanced microscopy, photos taken in the lab and the field, underwater photos of marine research, fractal imagery and other photos illustrating the beauty that is inherent in the natural world.
