Shadow Industry is a movie that was made by talented artists, Erik Pleumer and Peter Honore, especially for Hepzibah House.  It tells the story of a woman who is kidnapped, forced into sexual slavery and then rescued.
It is being officially released on YouTube. Click on this link to view it:
Shadow Industry
The film portrays "gorilla pimping" one of the three general paths that snag a woman into sex trafficking, The other two ways are more common: where a woman finds herself in a "lover boy" relationship with a man that pressures her to sell herself to support him, and then “survival sex” where a women or a girl, on her own, has no other way to support herself.
Please view the film on YouTube and share it with your friends.  This is a great way to support the ministry of  Hepzibah House and raise awareness of Human Trafficking.
Year End Campaign, Coming Soon!
Our end of the year campaign is focused on raising enough money to open a safe house by the end of the year, with 6 beds. Statistics show that 90% of women involved in sexual exploitation are controlled by a pimp and 80% would leave the life if they had a safe place to go!
This will be the first safe home for adult survivors in the South-East Florida area.
The need in the area is real and pressing, with 25 strip clubs, 47 escort businesses and approximately 72 ads on Backpage. On any given day, there are in excess of 3000 women being sexually exploited in Palm Beach County.
Check out this link: Hepzibah House to visit out campaign. Join us and invest in the lives of women who want a fresh start.
Roadmap to Redemption,
by Rebecca Bender
Roadmap to Redemption is a faith based workbook for survivors of sex trafficking and speaks the language of the victim. It is also informative for lay people who want to relate to the survivor.
The first part of the book relates to the mind of a victim, how they think and the lies they believed, while the second part of the book talks about the recovery process.  Using her own story she explains her journey and the  people that God brought into her life to facilitate her restoration.
This book is about the power of hope, and the truth and courage, that  are part of the odyssey of healing from profound trauma.  It is a practical, and  readable book for those want to learn more about survivors finding their path towards triumph!
