Facilitating Competency-Based Educator Development
Enrolling now! Quality Counts California offers the Facilitating Competency-Based Educator Development course to faculty and instructors wanting to advance the evidence-based methods of their programs. This course was developed using an iterative collaboration process between faculty from two- and four-year institutions of higher learning across the state of California and faculty at the University of Washington’s EarlyEdU. This self-paced faculty development course is designed to help implement a video analysis and competency-based approach with students. It uses the Intentional Teaching Framework and is organized conceptually around a competency-based educator development model grounded in principles of adult learning. The course is designed to be practical and allow you to implement concepts and strategies immediately in teaching and course development.
