Ongoing child assessment is fundamental to effective teaching. Routine assessment of a child’s growing knowledge and skill sets informs our teaching practices and shows what is and is not working in the classroom. Assessment is important for all children, including those with a disability or specialized learning concerns. This short video (Head Start/ECLKC) describes how to implement ongoing assessment data when teaching children with disabilities. Learn how to modify your teaching methods and provide supplemental support.
